Festo standard round cylinder, DSNU-16-35-PPS-A, 1908278 self-adjusting air buffer

Round cylinders with diameters from 8 to 25 mm conform to ISO 6432 and DIN ISO 6432 standards. Derivative models are based on these standards;

This series is non-repairable;

This series uses stainless steel piston rods;

The cylinder end caps in this series are molded onto the cylinder barrel;

Three cushioning types are available: P-cushion: with elastic cushioning pads at both ends; PPS-cushion: with self-adjusting pneumatic cushioning at both ends; PPV-cushion: with adjustable pneumatic cushioning at both ends;

Many derivative models are available, offering diverse choices and excellent flexibility.

Air Quality Requirements

Use clean, dry compressed air. The air must not contain organic solvents, synthetic oils, salts, corrosive gases, etc., to prevent cylinder and valve malfunction. Before installation, the connecting pipes should be thoroughly purged to prevent dust, cutting dust, sealing tape fragments, and other impurities from entering the cylinder and valve;

Environmental Requirements

In dusty or wet environments, the rod side should be equipped with a telescopic protective sleeve. Avoid twisting during installation.

Regarding the load on FESTO cylinders

The piston rod can generally only bear axial loads. Lateral and eccentric loads should be avoided on the piston rod.

Regarding FESTO Cylinder Lubrication

For oil-lubricated FESTO cylinders, an oil mist lubricator with an appropriate flow rate should be configured;

FESTO Cylinder Buffering

When the kinetic energy of the FESTO cylinder cannot be completely absorbed by the FESTO cylinder, an external buffering mechanism or a buffering circuit should be designed;

FESTO Cylinder Maintenance

The sliding parts of the cylinder barrel and piston rod must not be damaged to prevent malfunction of the FESTO cylinder, damage to the piston rod seal ring, etc., which may cause air leakage. Sufficient maintenance and adjustment space should be left at the buffer valve, and sufficient installation and adjustment space should be left for magnetic switches, etc. If the FESTO cylinder is not used for a long period of time, it should be operated once a month and oiled for protection to prevent rust.
