The büS network technology is based on the CAN physical layer, and Burkert has specifically developed it for applications involving multiple control loops driven via industrial Ethernet or other fieldbuses.
The ME2X System Control Unit (SCU) transmits the customer's Ethernet communication to the owner's büS and drives all connected electronic devices.
Communication between devices can be switched between büS and CANopen. This allows the 8741 to be integrated into existing CANopen infrastructures. The Burkert 8741 uses MEMS sensors to measure gas mass flow rate (as an MFM) or regulate it (as an MFC).
Burkert sensors come into direct contact with the gas, allowing for extremely rapid responses within hundreds of milliseconds.
Furthermore, measurements are unaffected by pressure or temperature fluctuations. Burkert MFC/MFM sensors can be calibrated for measuring/regulating two different gases, and users can switch between them.
