Type 8711 - Burkert MFC Gas Mass Flow Controller Type Description The Burkert MFC 8711 mass flow controller is suitable for mass flow control of gases over a wide flow range.
A thermal MEMS sensor located directly in the gas flow enables extremely high-speed response. A direct-acting Burkert... The proportional valve, as the actuator, ensures excellent response sensitivity. An integrated PI controller gives the Burkert MFC superior control characteristics.
The 8711 Burkert mass flow controller MFC can be calibrated for two different gases, and users can switch between them. As an electrical interface, it provides both analog standard signals and fieldbus.
The 8711 Burkert mass flow controller is suitable for a variety of applications, such as burner control, heat treatment, material coating, bioreactors, fuel cell technology, or test benches. Nominal flow range: 0.010 lN/min to 80 lN/min. High measurement accuracy and repeatability. Exceptionally fast turnaround speed.

Type 8741 - Gas Mass Flow Controller (MFC)/Gas Mass Flow Meter (MFM) Type Description: The 8741 Gas Mass Flow Controller (MFC)/Flow Meter (MFM) is suitable for a wide range of applications and can be equipped with industrial Ethernet, analog, or fieldbus interfaces.
The CANopen-based Burkert System Bus (büS) version is suitable for integration into existing CANopen systems.
In the network, or combined with the ME43 fieldbus gateway, it can be integrated into all common industrial standards of industrial Ethernet or fieldbus. The latter is ideal for applications with multiple controlled objects. Up to 32 MFCs/MFMs can be connected to the fieldbus gateway.
The ME43 can transmit internal CANopen-based communication to industrial Ethernet or fieldbus standards. Mass flow controllers/flow meters can switch between bürkert and CANopen communication at any time. The 8741 model can be configured as MFM or MFC as needed.
The device can store up to four calibration curves.
The thermal MEMS sensor located directly in the airflow has a very fast response time. The Bürkert direct-acting proportional valve as the actuator ensures high responsiveness. The integrated PI controller ensures that the MFC has superior control characteristics.
