The Burkert Gas Mass Flow Controller (MFC)/Burkert Flow Meter (MFM) 8741 is suitable for a wide range of applications and can be equipped with Industrial Ethernet, analog, or fieldbus interfaces.
The CANopen-based Bürkert System Bus (büS) version is suitable for integration into existing CANopen networks, or combined with the ME43 fieldbus gateway for integration into all common industrial standards of Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus. The latter is ideal for applications with multiple controlled objects.
Up to 32 MFCs/MFMs can be connected to the fieldbus gateway.
The ME43 can transmit internal CANopen-based communication to Industrial Ethernet or fieldbus standards. The German Burkert mass flow controller/Burkert flow meter can switch between büS and CANopen communication at any time. The Burkert 8741 mass flow controller can be configured as either MFM or MFC as needed.
The device can store up to four calibration curves.
The thermal MEMS sensor, located directly in the airflow, offers a very fast response time. A Bürkert direct-acting proportional valve as the actuator ensures high responsiveness. An integrated PI controller guarantees superior control characteristics for the MFC.
