Burkert solenoid valves

Baode is the general distributor of Burkert solenoid valves. Burkert solenoid valves mainly include direct-acting solenoid valves and plunger solenoid valves. The function of Burkert valves or actuators is to open/close, quantitatively dispense, distribute or mix liquids and gases.

The Burkert 2-way 2-position plunger solenoid valve (such as the Burkert 6011 model) is also called a straight-through valve. This type of valve is a shut-off valve with two ports: inlet P and outlet A (see Figure 1).

Inlet P is connected to pressurized liquid or gas.

When de-energized, the iron core spring pushes the electromagnet (plunger) against the valve seat by the medium pressure, thus closing outlet A. When energized, the electromagnet is lifted by the electromagnetic force, thus opening the Burkert valve.

Characteristics: ■ Flow direction is generally on the valve seat ■ High pressure depends on the rated diameter and coil power consumption ■ The spring force used is not large, ie, the back pressure (depending on the spring force and rated diameter) is relatively small.

The Burkert 3-way 2-position plunger solenoid valve (such as the Burkert 6014 model) has three ports and two valve seats, one of which is always in the open or closed state.

The valve's circuit function depends on how these three ports are "assigned," that is, how they are connected to the fluid system.

In circuit function C (normally closed), port P (see Figure 2) is connected to the pressurized medium; port A is the outlet; and port R is the return port or vent. When de-energized, the conical spring pushes the core (plunger) towards valve seat 1, closing the inlet port P.

At this time, outlet A connects to the return port R.

When energized, the electromagnetic force lifts the electromagnet core, closing valve seat 2 and thus closing the return port R. Simultaneously, as the core (plunger) is lifted, valve seat 1 opens, allowing the medium to flow from port P to port A.

In circuit function D (normally open), the return port R is normally closed.

Features: ■ When WW C (NC) (Circuit function C, normally closed), the flow direction is towards valve seat. 1. ■ When WW D (NO) (Circuit function D, normally open), the pressure inlet is located on the upper valve seat (the interface R at the top of the diagram).

■ The high pressure depends on the rated diameter and spring force (not coil power consumption).

■ The spring force is larger for WW C (Circuit function C) and smaller for WW D (Circuit function D). ■ When WW C (NC) (Circuit function C, normally closed), the operating pressure is not affected by the coil lifting force, but is affected by the cone spring closing force.

■ For standardization, the two-position three-way solenoid valve can also provide a general function T.
