The Burkert conductivity meter 8225/8226 is an upgrade to the 8222/8228 model, replacing the 418950 model (a custom order). The original model 418950 is discontinued, and its sensors and accessories are incompatible with the older model; accessories must be installed according to document S022.
Therefore, the replacement is the 8222 model: 00559618 + 00559168 + 00438680 (three units in total), replacing the 00418950. This achieves functional replacement. The probe length and chuck installation method are the same for both the 8225 and 8222 Burkert conductivity meters; only the wiring differs.
Type 8222 - Inductive Burkert Conductivity Meter Description: The Burkert 8222 is a compact measuring instrument for measuring the conductivity of liquids. The Burkert conductivity meter is equipped with a sensor that inserts and transmits data to a transmitter (with a detachable display).
The sensor consists of two electrodes and a Pt1000 temperature sensor.
The sensor itself has three different cell constants C: the sensor electrode for C = 0.01 / 0.1 is made of stainless steel; the sensor electrode for C = 1.0 is made of graphite.
The conductivity meter can operate without a display, but the device programming, visualization of continuous measurements, and process parameter functions require a display.
The 8222 model is available in the following configurations: - With three programmable outputs: two transistors and one two-wire 4-20mA current output;
- With four programmable outputs: two transistors and two three-wire 4-20mA current outputs. The transmitter converts the measurement signal, displays different parameters values in different measurement units (if a display is provided), calculates the output signal, and then transmits it via one or two M12 fixed connectors.
