Description of the Burkert 8221 hygienic conductivity probe: The Burkert 8221 hygienic conductivity probe can be widely used for conductivity measurement of various pure or concentrated liquids.

The Burkert conductivity probe is based on two different technologies: the Burkert probe using a dual-electrode structure is suitable for measuring pure liquids, especially pure water. Contamination can affect the measurement. The Burkert probe using a four-electrode structure prevents polarization effects and is therefore resistant to contamination.
This ensures excellent linearity throughout the measurement range. All versions integrate a Burkert temperature sensor (Pt1000). The Burkert probe must be connected to the 8619 multiCELL transmitter/controller. and salts it contains. When their concentrations are low, conductivity increases with increasing concentration.
Therefore, this indicator is often used to estimate the total concentration of ions or the salt content in water. Conductivity (G) is the reciprocal of resistance (R).
