SAMSON valve positioners are a milestone in integrating field devices with control room systems. These devices enable communication and maintenance during operation via HART®, PROFIBUS, or FOUNDATION™ fieldbus protocols. The 3730-2/3 model digital SAMSON electric valve positioner is mounted on a pneumatic control valve.
Samson valve positioners receive electric control signals from the control system or controller and assist the pneumatic actuator in adjusting the valve position and achieving accurate positioning according to a preset relationship.
The Samson valve positioner compares and processes the input control signal (given parameter w) and the feedback amount of the Samson control valve position stroke or rotation angle (adjusted parameter x), and then outputs the corresponding pneumatic control signal (output parameter y) to the pneumatic actuator.
