SKF spherical roller thrust bearing, 29320 E

SKF spherical roller thrust bearings feature specially designed raceways and asymmetrical rollers. The bearings can withstand axial loads acting in one direction and simultaneous radial loads. The load is transferred between the raceways through rollers at an angle to the bearing axis, while the flange-guided rollers (Figure 1)

Depending on the series and size, SKF spherical roller thrust bearings have two basic designs. Their cage, inner ring, and rollers form an inseparable assembly.

• Bearings without model suffix (e.g., 29272)
  Equipped with a standard machined brass fork cage (Figure 2)

• E Design Bearings (Model suffix E)
  Features larger rollers and optimized internal design for increased load capacity
  Equipped with one of the following cages depending on bearing size:
  Size ≤ 68 → Stamped steel window cage (Figure 3)
  Size ≥ 72 → Machined metal cage (Figure 2).

• High Load Capacity
  Numerous rollers provide optimal alignment with the raceway, enabling the bearing to withstand heavy axial and radial loads simultaneously.
  

• Misalignment Tolerance
  SKF spherical roller thrust bearings are self-aligning and can tolerate misalignment.
  

• Separate Design
  SKF thrust spherical roller bearings are separable, allowing the raceway to be installed and removed independently of the shaft washer and roller and cage assembly. This also facilitates maintenance and inspection.

• High Speed ​​Capability
  The optimal alignment of the cage design with the roller and washer raceways makes the bearing suitable for relatively high speeds.

• Long Service Life
  The special roller shape reduces edge stress at the roller/raceway contact.

• Low Friction
  Optimized roller end/flange contacts maintain low levels of frictional heat, even at high speeds.

Rolling bearings are precision components and should be used with extreme care. Even high-quality bearings will not achieve the desired effect if used improperly. The following are precautions for bearing use:

(1) Keep the bearing and its surrounding environment clean: Even tiny dust particles invisible to the naked eye can have adverse effects on the bearing. Therefore, keep the surrounding area clean to prevent dust from entering the bearing;

(2) Use with care: Strong impacts on the bearing during use can cause scratches or indentations, leading to accidents.

In severe cases, it can cause cracks and breaks, which must be taken seriously;

(3) Use special bearing tools: Special tools must be used and cannot be arbitrarily substituted;

(4) Prevent bearings from rusting: When operating bearings, hand sweat can cause rusting, so be sure to use clean hands, wear gloves, and be aware of corrosive gases.
