The EDS300 is primarily used for pressure monitoring and indication in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and in applications requiring high-frequency switching or high switching accuracy where mechanical pressure relays are insufficient. This device is an ideal control element for accumulator pressurization, unloading control, or pump and compressor control.

Hydac Pressure Relay Installation: The EDS300 pressure relay comes with a G1/4A external thread (DIN3852) pressure connector. It can be directly mounted to pipelines or hydraulic valve blocks.
In critical applications (such as severe vibration and impact), the EDS300 must be mechanically decoupled; in this case, the pressure connector must be connected via a pressure testing hose. A clamp (ZBM300) is provided for panel mounting. Using a ZBM14 connector ensures the display panel faces the observer.

*EDS300 Hydac Pressure Relay Principle:
- Pressure relay is not sensitive and difficult to adjust: The pressure range is not selected correctly. Because the spring is not linear, pressure relays are generally divided into pressure ratings. It is best to select the appropriate pressure rating. For example: to send a signal at 35 kgf/cm, you should use the JCS-02-NL, with a pressure measurement range of 5~70 kgf/cm. If you use the JCS-02N, it will feel inadequate.
- When the pressure drops, the normally closed contacts of the relay do not re-engage. This is because pressure relays have a hysteresis problem, which is related to the manufacturer's manufacturing process and also greatly influenced by the relay's structure. Currently, the hysteresis of the Taiwanese JCS-02 relay is generally around 15 kgf/cm, which is relatively stable. Other imitations are less reliable. Furthermore, because the JCS-02's mechanism is not ideal, its performance is limited. The new PS series, based on a German design, has achieved a significant leap in sensitivity and stability, especially in the low-pressure range of 0~50 kgf/cm, where its superior sensitivity is very evident.
